O’s Notes: Danilo is back with a creative array of ten songs including three new compositions. They range from soft ballads to mid tempo tracks like “Paula C”. The musicians are very strong including Brian Blade (d) and John Patitucci (b). Lizz Wright is the guest vocalist for “…til then” and “Fiddle and the Drum”. She continues to display a wealth of talent. Our favorite is the finale, “Vera Cruz” which caps off a fine set.
