O’s Notes: Drummer Chris Allen leads a trio with bassist Christian McBride and saxophonist Chris Potter on Tippin’. They open with the blues based “Parker’s Mood”, before turning up the heat on “Happy Times” with each member serving up spirited solos. “Hidden Agenda” is like a playground for band as they clearly enjoy themselves. Other highlights include “Alter Ego” and the relaxing finale, “They Say It’s Wonderful”.
