O’s Notes: There is a cool funky rhythm underlying Topia’s Deluge. Teshome is Ethiopian and this is his music, sung in the native language. While we didn’t understand the lyrics, we felt the groove that was pleasant, similar to what we’ve heard from South Africa and the African influenced Caribbean sounds including reggae. We liked the slow, steady beats of “Love Me As I Am” and “Senseless War”. This one may be worth trying!
