O’s Notes: Jason Harrell is a drummer, educator, composer and bandleader who has been lighting up the Southern California jazz scene for many years. Total Harnage is a no-holds-barred recording reflecting many of Harnell’s favorite tunes featuring his vocals and drumming. We enjoyed “Trance”, “Bad Fish”, “Captain Amazing Saves The World” and Harnell’s masterful scatting on “What Thing?” This is a unique album; an amalgamation of ideas that comes together successfully.
