O’s Notes: Guitarist Jeff Golub had a fascination with Brian Auger’s cool groove on the B3 from the time he was a teenager. It was his introduction to jazz and brings us to the culmination of a dream on Train Keeps A Rolling. The band is well seasoned in addition to Auger includes Steve Ferrone (d), Derek Frank (b), Mindi Abair (sax) and Luis Conte (perc). The beats are smooth, funky and full of energy. The classic pop tunes are timeless: “How Long” featuring Chris Cross (vocals), “Pusherman” and “I Love The Life I Live” to name a few. It’s a hit!
