O’s Notes: Following the first release, pianist, composer and producer Dave Bass returns with Trio Nuevo Vol.2. It’s the same band from Volume 1, with bassist Tyler Miles drummer Steve Helfand. They perform eleven new compositions, a fine collection that is centered on Dave’s prowess on piano. There are tastes of Latin, Bach and of course, straight ahead jazz. “Fools Rush In”, “Frevo”, “Journey With Bach”, and “Latin Journey” are some of the best selections.
