O’s Notes: Harrison Squared is a Canadian quartet featuring Harrison Argatoff (t-sax), Mike Murley (t-sax), Steve Wallace (b) and Harry Vetro (d). This is a saxy affair featuring dual tenor saxophones leading the charge with Wallace putting his bass in the spotlight as well. The music is straight-ahead bebop, club style with lots of air and a cool swagger on “Only Hear Say”. Trout In Swimwear is a good start for this multigenerational band and they continue gaining traction on the live Toronto jazz scene.
