O’s Notes: The Lindberg Quintet is all strings, anchored by John on bass. The music is an expression of Lindberg’s life; revisiting some earlier work (1986) commemorating the birth of his son combined with recent reflections on changes he’s made in his life. It’s well matched for this band, an extension of classical music into jazz space.
