O’s Notes: Robert and the Family Band play rocking blues. They have a high energy, electric presence. The core band is Danyel Morgan (b), Marcus Randolph (d), John Ginty (B3) and Randolph on guitar. Some of the best songs have a retro soul feel like “Soul Refreshing” complete with harmonized vocals. There’s also a country twang to some of the songs like “Smile”, adding to the variety.
