O’s Notes: Andy Narell’s steel pans are a prominent part of the sounds of Sakésho. His signature is immediately recognizable. Mario Canonge (keyboards), Michel Alibo (b), and drummer Jean Philippe Fanfant round out the band. Their sound has elements of Caribbean, Latin, funk and world jazz. We particularly liked they funky syncopated sounds of “We Want You To Say” and found the entire session to be festive and refreshing.
