O’s Notes: Jeremy hits us up on two fronts, as a crooner and as a trumpeter. He is adept at both approaches and plays in the spirit of the Crescent City as a true entertainer, one of Basin Street Records premier artists. The program is an equal blend of originals and freshly arranged standards like the swinging takes of “That Old Black Magic” and “The Lady Is A Tramp”. The core rhythm section is solid throughout the set. Guest artist Kermit Ruffins (t, vocals) joins Jeremy for “Mr. New Orleans” one of the best of the session. We also enjoyed the title track and “Forever” two warm ballads in a strong collection.
