O’s Notes: Smooth jazz pianist Kim Pensyl puts together a fresh collection of eleven originals. The music is inoffensive but not contagious, perfect for a doctor’s office. We liked the title track and the funky beats of “Slap Happy” best. Live drums by Reggie Jackson punctuated the changes helping to differentiate this from the sea of pop jazz offerings.
