O’s Notes: Guitarist Jacques Lesure teams up with pianist Eric Reed, Mike Gurrola (b) and Willie Jones III (d) for a traditional jazz set. They have a dearth of energy and the band packs a lot of punch while Lesure’s warm buttery melodies are at home anywhere. Reed is a perfect compliment comping and rising to alternate views periodically. When She Smiles we all get a confidence boost and feel good.
