O’s Notes: When Soft Rains Fall is a duet featuring vocalist Christine Correa supported by pianist Ran Blake. They focus on the artistry of the legendary Billie Holiday. The program has fifteen popular songs from American song books, many performed by Holiday on her famous recording, Lady in Satin. It is virtually impossible to recreate the aura of Billie Holiday but this duo makes a testament to the great entertainer. Our favorites are “The Day Lady Died” and “Lady Sings The Blues”.
