O’s Notes: The players are Jeff D’Angelo (b), Duncan Moore (d) and Bob on piano. They open cooking on “Albino Frankie” with Hamilton tickling the ivory and Moore setting the pace. They settle down on “Grace”, a reflective tune anchored by the blooming tones of Jeff’s bass. “Dining and Dancing” is exactly what it suggests and several tracks are suitable for just that. Each of the nine tunes presents a different character making this CD enjoyable all the way through with first class performances by each of the musicians. This is a trio with the sound of a large ensemble.
