O’s Notes: It only takes a few minutes into the second track, “Bolivia” for the radiance of this session to surface. This trio is cooking with crisp passages. Brian’s solo here alone is worth the price of the CD. He’s working the upright bass better then many on an electric! This is clean cooking with an excellent sense of pace and dynamics. The songs are very fresh arrangements making this already one of 2006’s best.
