O’s Notes: These two accomplished clarinetists come together to give today’s jazz audience a taste of good old-fashioned swing! They’re not trying to dazzle you with technique, the melody is paramount. And the lead lines dance with spirit and happiness in front of a rhythm section featuring John Sheridan (p), David Stone (b) and Tony DeNicola (d). Wilber also plays soprano sax as the harmony between the two Bob’s comes together like pieces of a puzzle especially on “I Ain’t Got Nobody”. It’s a swinging bubbly session.
