O’s Notes: Yesterdays is a duo featuring vocalist Sheila Jordan and bassist Harvie Swartz (commonly known in recent years as Harvie S) recorded back in 1990. Sheila loves performing in this format. It gives her a wide canvas to draw on and she explores every degree of her vocal range. Her creative approach makes old standards into new tunes. Harvie is a well-regarded bassist and with good reason. Check out “Fats Waller Medley” to hear his remarkable chops. Together, they are magical. This previously unreleased concert captures some of their best moments, enough to suggest they revisit the stage today!
