O’s Notes: World-class guitarist Martin Taylor teams up with vocalist Alison Burns, his daughter-in-law for a set of late night ballads. They are crisp, well articulated and on point with these popular standards. Taylor provides strong support but does not overshadow Burns. “Sophisticated Lady”, “If It’s Magic” and “Drop Me A Line” are a few of the notable tunes. 1:AM is good for easy listening after dark but lacks the stickiness that makes performances memorable.
