O’s Notes: Free jazz comes in many shapes and sizes and is displayed in many different instrumental configurations. This is one of the more unusual configurations featuring harpist Jacqueline Kerrod performing solo. The music represents a swirl around the inner thoughts of the composer as she expresses emotions that range from violent to passive to peaceful, but always intriguing. The titles: “Screwed”, “Glare”, “An Impression” and “Chatterbox” are indicative examples. These are like musical excerpts from Kerrod’s personal journal.
