O’s Notes: Deborah is a club style singer, smooth, warm and well articulated. She’s out in front of a well-knit rhythm section with Larry Koonse (g), Joe La Barbara (d), Tom Washington (b) and Terry Trotter (p). They really swing on “Haven’t We Met” with great work on guitar from Koonse who shines throughout the session. The arrangements are great and the music flows nicely. Among the best songs are the delicate tones of “I’m Through With Love”, “You Don’t Know What Love Is” and “Boy Next Door”. Schulman’s voice is pure, as rich as velvet and a pleasure to listen to.
