O’s Notes: Warren’s smokey lead lines on cornet and flugelhorn flow in, around, and between the notes of the piano. And Charlap’s work on the ivory is excellent, the right stuff in the right places. “You and the Night and the Music” is a prime example. When they click, it’s marvelous!
