O’s Notes: 3 Nights in LA“captures four great musicians performing live in Los Angeles at“Sam First, January 17-19, 2019. The players are George Garzone (t-sax), producer Peter Erskine (d), Darek Oles (b) and Alan Pasquale (p). These guys swing hard with excellent solos from Oles on ‘Twelve‘ and the entire team on ‘I Hear A Rhapsody‘. These are extended plays, all over 8 minutes and we enjoyed them. They played 17 tunes during that 3-night engagement and only six are represented here suggesting we may have more coming!
