O’s Notes: Pianist Marcos Ariel brings us a fresh set of eleven originals. Ricardo Silviera (g), Joao Baptista (b) and Jurim Moreira (d) form the rest of an excellent band. The music is soothing on “Bossa Love” and that mood extends throughout the session. They add a taste of funk on “Ipanema Curves”, a tribute to the famous beach and the women who grace it! “Passionate Eyes” follows in the same vane. We also liked “Le Café” and “Yellow Train”. This is a great taste of new Brazil music that will warm your spirits.
