O’s Notes: Joe has a formula for creating funky fusion that is timeless. He is introducing his famous sound to yet another generation and rekindling the spirit with old fans. The combination of complexity and simplicity on “Scarlet Woman” is a great example with all elements coming together nicely. He combines chants, vocals, and heavily syncopated percussion with solid rhythms over twelve mostly original compositions on 2 CDs. Join the party!
