O’s Notes: Sandy is partnered with pianist and producer Vincent Frates for her sophomore effort. But she is far more experienced than 2 CDs having performed many years on the East Coast on stage, radio and TV. She took a to raise her family and re-emerged on the left coast in 2000. Dennison sings standards in front of a strong quintet. She shines on “Close Your Eyes” and “A Sunday Kind Of Love” where she enjoys the space provided by her band. Her confidence shows as she cruises through the program. Our favorite: “Sway”.
