O’s Notes: This is an all-star quartet featuring guitarist Pat Metheny, drummer Antonio Sanchez, vibraphonist Gary Burton and Steve Swallow on bass. It is a live recording at Yoshi’s in Oakland, CA during June 2007. We enjoyed the warmth of “B and G” and “Coral” with rich solos by Burton and Metheny. We also liked the soothing vibe of “Fleurette Africaine”. The quartet plays with a relaxed confidence that resulted in a wonderful session.
