O’s Notes: Pianist and composer Johannes Wallmann collaborates with bassist Nick Moran in a quintet with Ingrid Jensen (t), Dayna Stephens (t-sax), and Adam Nussbaum (d). Guest Mitchell Shiner adds glockenspiel and vibes on two selections notably the opener, “Not Tired”. Moran composed “Twelve Thirty-Four” along with its scintillating “Intro” solo. All the other selections are Wallmann originals. We also liked “The Towel Snapper” and “Bad Apple”.
