O’s Notes: Guitarist Joshua Breakstone leads a trio through eight burners. Lisle Atkinson (b) and Eliot Zigmund (d) are his partners. They cook on “Over-Done” and the title track but also shine on “The Unknown One” and “The Peacocks”, both ballads. We prefer the heat. Breakstone wrote most of the music and plays with the confidence of a man with his vast experience. Judging by what we hear, he’ll be on the scene a while longer.
