O’s Notes: Veteran jazz trumpeter Al Muirhead assembles a swinging band with some of Canada’s finest musicians including guitarist Reg Schwager and Mike Murley (tenor sax). We really enjoyed the passionate brass harmonies on “Emily” along with classics like “The Nearness Of You” with vocalist Laila Biali, and “Love Me Or Leave Me”.“Northern Adventures“is a warm set of freshly arranged classics from Muirhead, still a classic musician at 80 years old!
