O’s Notes: Japanese saxophonist Sadao Wantanabe is a polished, confident musician. He shares the stage with a strong team including Russell Ferrante (p), John Patitucci (b) and Steve Gadd (d). They are a seamless unit performing eleven compositions with varied tempos making us wish we were there! After 87 years, with over 50 albums and countless performances, Wantanabe still delivers a fruitful concert as appreciated by the audience Live at The Tokyo Blue Note recorded August 2019.
