O’s Notes: Bassist Christian Dillingham leads a quartet with guitarist Dave Miller, saxophonist Lenard Simpson, and drummer Greg Artry on his Greenleaf Music debut, Cascades. Simpson leads the mellow, swinging “Like No Other” and the warm ”Someday Soon”, while Miller shines on “Homeostasis”. These are perhaps the most embraceable songs in an adventurous session of exploratory jazz-fusion.
