O’s Notes: Trumpeter Pablo Masis leads the charge in a quartet with bassist Jeff Koch, guitarist Jeff McLaughlin, and drummer David Hawkins. Melodies are performed by Masis and McLaughlin, sometimes in unison, while solos are spread equally amongst the musicians. McLaughlin leads the fusion-laced “Thought and Memory”. Adam Hutcheson (a-sax) joins them for the 3-part Kabul Suite to cap the relaxing session.
