O’s Notes: Tarbaby is a trio with pianist Orrin Evans, bassist Eric Revis and Nasheet Waits on drums. They have five recordings under their belts, usually with guest artists. You Think This America is just the trio in a live recording at Hunter College in 2022. They span the jazz genre from ballads to Avant Garde. We liked “Red Door”, “Betcha By Golly Wow”, “Kush”, and “Comme il Faut” with nice work by Revis.
