O’s Notes: Tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson celebrates the music of Bob Dylan on Jackson Plays Dylan. It was Jackson’s vision to continue his collaboration with the late Nikki Giovanni, but fate took precedence. His rhythm section is Jeremy Manasia (keyboards), Isaac Levien (b), and Ryan Sands (d). Guest vocalists Nicole Zuraitis and Lisa Fischer sing “Forever Young” and “Gotta Serve Somebody” respectively. Other highlights are “The Times, They Are A-Changin’”, and “Make You Feel My Love”.
