O’s Notes: The Ganz Brothers, Steve on tenor sax and Keith on guitar, have been playing together since childhood but professionally they connected in New York in 1998. Vinson Valega (d) and George Mitchell (b) are the balance of the quartet. These ten, mostly original songs are varied in feel but include “Growing Up”, one of the best cool funky jazz songs of the year, “Bossa For Frank” and the title track, the latter two on the mellow side.
