O’s Notes: Metalwood is Brad Turner (t, keyboards), Mike Murley (sax), Chris Terry (b) and Ian Froman (d). Guest artists John Scofield (g), Mino Cinelu (percussion) and DJ Logic (turntables) add to the fervor. The music is a funky fusion with a sixties retro feel courtesy of the Hammond B3. The beats are catchy and cool especially on “Steeplejack”. It is engaging from start to finish.
