O’s Notes: Carlos is one of Brazil’s leading jazz musicians. He plays with a pleasant contemporary flare that contains more intricacy than a lot of today’s smooth jazz. He plays flutes and soprano sax for ten classics penned by Brazil’s best including Tom Jobim, Gilberto Gil, Joao Bosco and Milton Nascimento. Our favorite songs are “Aguas de Marco”, “Ladeira da Prequica” and a very nice arrangement of “Bala com Bala”. This is the next best thing to absolute peace and quiet!
