O’s Notes: No doubt this is a classic recording, one of the first live jazz recordings. The place was the Jazz Workshop in San Francisco during October 1959. The members were Louis Hayes (d), Bobby Timmons (p), Sam Jones (b), Nat (cornet) and Cannonball Adderley (sax). There are 6 tracks, all good especially the opener “This Here”. The spontaneous energy that exists between the band is contagious and the audience truly enjoyed the show. So will you as a listener. SACD
