O’s Notes: Pianist Donald Vega leads a quartet with Lewis Nash, Bassist John Patitucci, and Luisito Quintero. Vega’s fleeting work on the keys is punctuated by the rhythm of his team on the opener “Baila! Dance Like No Ones Watching” and “Disturbios”. It’s not all breakneck pace though with several mid-tempo ballads notably “Isabel: The Enchanting Nature Of You”. We also enjoyed “Tomorrow II”, “Dear Mayra”, and “Alegria”.
