O’s Notes: Three EWF members: keyboardists Larry Dunn and Morris Pleasure along with guitarist Sheldon Reynolds recreate a large collection of Earth Wind & Fire classics, 22 to be exact. This is not a simple replay. They have freshened each track with some contemporary hip-hop while retaining the original characteristics. Some may prefer the original classics but these new arrangements have merit as well. Gerald Albright adds sax solos on “Sunshine” and “Sunday Morning” and Terri Lynn Carrington plays a drum solo on “Faces” each worthy additions to the effort.
