O’s Notes: Vibraphonist Jim Hart formed the Cloudmakers Trio in 2009 with bassist Michael Janisch and drummer Dave Smith. Continuously evolving, the latest rendition includes polished pianist Leo Genovese on A Drop Of Hope In The Ocean Of Uncertainty. The title reflects the chaotic state of the world with music offering some positive energy and a sense of hope. The syncopated rhythms of “Voodoo Grave”, “True At The Same Time”, “Quick Fix”, and “New Beginnings” contrast with the soft tones of “Winds Of Change” and “Where There’s A Will”. The program illustrates the proposed theme and the delivery is applaudable.
