O’s Notes: Ari is one of the finest jazz pianists coming from Israel. He now sides in New York and assembles a fine team of NY musicians including Saxophonist Joel Frahm. Erev arranged and composed most of the eleven selections and works to establish his mark among the rich metropolitan jazz scene. There is a touch of Latin that permeates the music, a welcomed spice to this modern jazz set. We particularly enjoyed the upbeat “Open Possibilities” and the mellow “Light in Your Window”. We look to hear more from Erev building on this sound foundation.
