O’s Notes: The Guy Mintus (p) Trio features Israeli bassist Tamis Shmerling and Dutch drummer Philippe Lemm. This is Guy’s 3rd release in the last three years and he continues to develop his palate. We enjoyed the ragtime-tilted arrangement of “Smile”, the playful “Coban Sirto” and the relaxing “Mibifnim. The ten songs that make up“A Home In Between“are centered on warmth and good feeling making this a healing, peaceful set that makes great background listening.
