O’s Notes: Roger is a Scottish singer who is comfortable with a variety of music styles. He swings with the music and fits in well with the band that includes pianist Gary Fukushima, Matt Otto (ts), Darek Oles (b) and Joe LaBarbera (d). Guitarist Larry Koonse has a strong performance on “We’ve Got A World That Swings” as well as a few other tracks. This is a good collection of slow and moderate tempo ballads balanced with the addition of Latin-laced “Flamingo”.
