O’s Notes: Soulful singer Dorothy Leigh makes her debut recording on A Second Chance, an album full of passion and emotions. It is an upbeat optimistic collection of songs backed by pianist and producer Alva Nelson. Dorothy blends well with her musicians especially on “I’m Gonna Love You Forever”. She warms us up on the title track, soars on “Home Again” and shows her dramatic side on “Never Did I Ever Stop Loving You”. Leigh sings from her heart and it is clear that she has had parallel experiences in many cases. This is a promising start released in 2010.
