O’s Notes: Guitarist, producer and composer Rez Abassi took on the challenge of creating a soundtrack for the 1929 silent movie, A Throw of the Dice. He assembles a talented quintet for a challenging endeavor that turns out to be a fruitful adventure. “Mystery Rising” is true to the title with an exotic feel that extends into “Moving Forward”. We also enjoyed “Blissful Moments”, “Chase For Liberation”, and the peacefulness of “True Home“ tempered by flautist Pawan Benjamin.
