O’s Notes: This is an eclectic jazz-fusion set that borders classical works from the 19th century. The addition of strings and a large ensemble add color and character. “Eliasong” has a modern European feel while “Psalm” felt like we were in a cathedral. We liked the rhythm of “Stompin’ At Gagarin” and the eerie moods of “Horseshoe Waltz” best.
