O’s Notes: Soulful, jazz vocalist, multi-instrumentalist Johnny Britt teams up with a wealth of contemporary jazz stars for Let’s Do This. He starts with jazz trumpeter Tom Brown on “Ain’t Nothin’ But The Funk”, then chills with guitarist Peter White on “After We Play”. He invites Will Downing to join him on “Butterflies”, Little Anthony and George Benson (g) on “Goin’ Out Of My Head”, and Blair Bryant on “Ocean Waves”. We also enjoyed “Walk On By”, “Love Paradise” and the title track featuring Nils (g). All that talent yields a strong session of contemporary jazz.
