O’s Notes: The core of Marbin is saxophonist Danny Markoviteh and guitarist Dani Rabin. They wrote, arranged and produced the entire program on Aggressive Hippies, their latest release. Bassist John W. Lauder and drummer Greg Essig round out the quartet. The genre is progressive jazz-fusion. “Juke Joint”, “Jambo” and “”Morning Star” were our favorites of the set, a collection with a varied attacks that modernizes the Hippie movement!
